Conventional juices are made from reconstituted concentrates, because juice factories are unable to secure a reliable source of fresh produce, especially with seasonality constraints. Once inputs are reduced into a concentrate their shelf life increases significantly and may sit for years before being reconstituted into a juice.

No Additives

No Sugar, No Water and No Preservatives are added to Rugani Juice.
On the day of harvest, veggies are transferred to the extraction plant immediately. Our innovative extraction process, pasteurisation and aseptic packaging enable a natural 12 month shelf life at ambient. While some argue that pasteurisation kills nutrients, the impressive nutritional information demonstrated on each carton of Rugani Juice is evidence that this is not the case. Rugani Juice is one of the richest sources of cis-beta-carotene, a remarkable molecule discussed in the carotenoids section.

When juices are reconstituted conventionally, the initial product is far from being ready to consume. It requires artificial intervention to be made palatable. This calls for the addition of food acid to increase shelf life, sugar or de-flavoured apple / grape juice to counteract the intensely acidic taste, as well as colorants to liven up the dull appearance of concentrates, caused by extensive storage periods. Often, preservatives are also added to give the product shelf life at ambient.
