Red African Sunset Iced Tea

What better way to end the day. This thirst-quenching and refreshing Iced Tea is made with two CANSA SMART CHOICE SEAL products, Red Espresso® rooibos tea and Rugani 100% Ginger Infused Carrot Juice, flavoured with 100% Rugani Pineapple Juice, orange segments, passion fruit and a garnish of mint.

Prep time: 15 min (and overnight to infuse the tea)
Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 400ml Red Espresso® rooibos tea
  • 200ml Rugani 100% Ginger Infused Carrot Juice
  • 200ml Rugani 100% Queen Pineapple Juice
  • 1 Orange, sliced and cut into segments
  • 2 Passion fruits or Granadillas
  • Ice, optional
  • Sparkling or Soda water
  • Fresh Mint

Method:

  • Prepare 400ml of Red Espresso® rooibos tea and allow the tea to cool down.
  • In a 1 litre jug, add the cooled down Red Espresso® rooibos tea, the Rugani 100% Ginger Infused Carrot Juice and the Rugani 100% Queen Pineapple Juice together.
  • Slice the orange and cut into quarter segments, cut the passion fruit in half and remove the pulp. Add the orange segments and passion fruit pulp to the tea.
  • Cover and refrigerate the tea-mix overnight to infuse.
  • Using tall glasses, pour ¾ full, add ice (optional) and fill with sparkling water or soda water.
  • Garnish with a sprig of mint and serve.
